During her time at KTAR News, McFarland has been prompted from Intern to currently Assignment Desk Editor. She has also been a board operator and fill in producer for all of the stations news talk shows. She has written breaking news scripts, edited podcasts for shows and created her own on-air packages. McFarland is comfortable with Adobe Audition and Newsboss.

When filling in for the Mike Broomhead Show as a producer I had to set up this segment. I had to find and cut all audio clips and then read the questions on-air to the host.

One morning, KTAR didn't get the sports hit sent over. I had to write and voice highlights from Arizona sports that went over-air during Arizona Morning News.
